The Lambeth Conference - 2008

by Heidi Shott

Welcome to the The Lambeth Conference, a once-a-decade gathering of bishops from across the 44 provinces of the Anglican Communion, is held in Canterbury, England, from July 16 to August 3, 2008. Episcopal bishops, the Rt. Rev. Chilton R. Knudsen and the Rt. Rev. Stephen T. Lane, and their spouses, will represent the Diocese of Maine at the conference. Just a few months after her consecration, Bishop Knudsen attended the 1998 Lambeth Conference as one of the first 11 woman bishops to attend and the first woman to participate in a Lambeth Conference worship service. http://s3.amazonaws.com/dfc_attachments/images/3397/_catlambeth_thumb.jpg _catlambeth_thumb Bishop Knudsen and Bishop Lane will send news and updates
